Long-time resident James A. McFarland passed peacefully in his sleep at his Chatanika home on Dec. 10, 2021. Jim spent over 50 years in the Alaska title insurance business in Fairbanks and Anchorage. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and he drove four-wheelers and snowmachines.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Melba; sons Lee, of Anchorage, Teddy, of Utah, John, of Arkansas, and Ray, of Fairbanks; and daughter, Debbie Lynn, of Anchorage.
A memorial will be held at the Chatanika Lodge on Saturday at 2?p.m.
