Here are the top three stories today in Anchorage:
- Roscoe’s restaurant is looking for donations to reopen their downtown location after a second arson fire last summer. A new branch of the restaurant opened earlier last summer at 341 Boniface Parkway that includes Latin food, however, the downtown location has not reopened. Owner Roscoe Wyche has created a GoFundMe page to try and fast-track the work and is hoping to open their doors in time for summer. (Alaska’s News Source)
- Alaska’s Anchorage Airport has been receiving inquiries from airlines regarding capacity amid the Ukraine crisis. According to the airport, airlines have been reaching out about capacity and available services in the event international routes are affected. During the cold war, the airport was a popular refueling hub for long-haul flights when Western airlines were unable to access Russian airspace on routes from Europe to Asia. (marketscreener.com)
- Today, expect a brief afternoon shower and temperatures to reach a high of 38 degrees. Tonight, temperatures will slightly drop to a low of 30. Tomorrow, it’ll be mainly cloudy with a high of 35 and a low of 27. (Patch)

- Have you ever wondered what steps others have taken towards preparedness? The Anchorage Office of Emergency Management was curious too, so they took a look at the 2020 (2021 is not yet published) National Household Survey done by Fema. (Twitter)
